"make package" now doesn't strip debug symbols anymore, so bug reports
on the nightlies should be more useful. Use "make package-release" to
build a stripped package.

Merge compat-10.2 branch. This adds Jaguar compatibility on OS X, and
completes the Jam -> Make/XCode switch. Hope it doesn't break too much.

Started to switch to a Makefile-based build system (still very incomplete,
so the Jamfile are still there).
Set a few svn:ignore properties.
